We are using toy train for demo. As we have put 2 IR sensor on both side of crossing. If train is coming from left then it will block left side sensor. if train is coming from right side then it will block right side sensor.
As signal is detected by Arduino, Arduino will start closing crossing.
for example if train is coming from left then left sensor will block by train, Arduino will start closing crossing. As train reached at right sensor & passed from right sensor then Arduino will start opening crossing. Same process will apply if train is coming from right side.
Project customization is also available.
